PCT patent applications generally require a number of formal documents which must be generated, and a number of notices which are provided by the patent agency. In order for the applications to mature into patents, Applicants must enter the national stage in each country where patent protection is sought. The additional expense of the filing fees and creation of formal patent drawings, is not included in the price.

The current price only includes attorney fees and does not include accelerated examination petitions and supporting documentation, National Stage entry or an IDS (Information Disclosure Statement) preparation fee for foreign and non-patent references, government filing fees or expenses such as formal drawings or external search results.
